Che Caines " Teen Artist "

My name is Che Caines i was born in the islands of Bermuda on November 13 1990. I am a self taught artist with what friends and family would say a natural talent. I am currently 18 years old and i have just started college i attend kingston college in kingston-upon-thames London. my style of art could range from sculpting, 3d design, oil and acrylics on canvas, charcoal, pencil, and architectural model making. I started enjoying art at the age of 3 and started to paint at the age of 14. I paint to be relaxed and just for the love of it, Art is just my passion. I started art by having coloring competitions with my father Ricky Caines, he show me how to color in a coloring book at the age of three i quickly progressed and started to draw on paper. At the age of 4 of four i started sketching faces and for my age was quiet good. My Father then saw my talent in art and always pushed me and made me do something involving Coloring, Drawing, or Arts & Craft. at the age of 8 i was sketching in depth and drawing more detailed. I challenged myself to draw a better picture then the last one i created, and i succeeded in my challenge. as i got older i realized that i was more advanced then the others in my class and i felt as if i was not normal. My mom and teacher said i have a talent and ever since i have just seen it as that. i attended the Gilbert Institute Primary School, In primary school when we had our school art shows they always wanted my work in too represent my Primary School and i had won almost all my entries. My art teachers were amazed by my talent in the course they choose me to help other student's with there work because i would always finish ahead of time. When i left primary school i then moved to Spice Valley Middle School. At middle school i had so much more opportunities and the art was much more advanced then primary school. I was then introduced to Manuel Palacio, Manuel Palacio was an new coming long term substitute for or original art teacher Harvey. Me and Manuel quickly created a bond and he quickly saw my talent, he told me about art and the beauty all art holds and told me about so many past famous artist. Manuel Palacio is a known artist in Bermuda after moving there from the United states. www.amsterdamgallerybermuda.com is Manuel Palacio Main site. Manuel Palacio showed me other tricks in art and pushed me o be positive and do my best in the work that i produced. In my second year in Middle School i was allowed to take on my first project of painting a street bus stop for the School. I took on this project happily with ms.carmen mitchell and fellow classmates my design was chosen to be place onto the bus stop. Our project then made headlines in the Bermuda News and i was nervous to be on television. As time went on i had to learn to get used to publicity and people that admired my artwork as a child it was difficult but also nice to be admired by adults. I became more advanced as i drew almost three too four times a day in and out of school. i admired art so much when my friends would go out to play i would stay in and draw. When i entered High School CedarBridge Academy Manuel Palacio also went to the same high school to teach the art lessons. 'I have to say' High School was the best, i learnt as much as i could. In my first year started my first painting called "Hawaii Sunset" it took me two months to paint and it was my first every painting. i remember the hard work i put into it and the time i spent with it i really admired what i had created. Before i knew it the whole school knew my name and my talents in art. Me and Manuel Palacio would stay behind long hours after school he would do grades and i would paint. In my four years at CedarBridge Academy i produced 10 paintings and passed my GCSE with a* the highest grade to get. These painting were mostly portraits and landscapes in oils and acrylics. In my final year at CedarBridge Academy i had my first art show at the Masterworks Museum Of Arts with partner Manuel Palacio. I showcased my works from the start of High School to the end, all my paintings where displayed for a week in the national gallery my paintings ranging from $600-$15,000 i had a large turnout of 100+ people. My artwork became a sensation to the art of bermuda and people admired my efforts and determination in what i dreamed. My art was then showcased in the Bermuda's Premiers concert and also in the Bermuda National gallery, in the cabinet office of Bermuda and also through school programs for bermuda's talent. I was then asked to participate in ceremonies such as the sally basset sculpture opening in the city of Hamilton. I am also interested in architecture and in High School was the only person to take Graphics III it was hard to be the only student in a class because the teacher expected so much out of me. But i done my best and my final project of a architectural model of a model house made headlines and the television it also landed me a spot on Google. I was proud to complete my task and do my best at it. My life has only just begun and i am trying to make the best out of everything i do. All the art i create is created through love and i want to let the world know that anyone that has a dream could make that dream come true!. No matter what your Talent is you could strive to make the most out of it. life s full of opportunities and i try my best to not let them past me by. A lot of people in life forget the beauty of life and the things that make our world so beautiful. i know i am still young but i am willing to become a successful artist and make the most out of life i am willing to encourage others that the world is so much better then what the bad makes it to be. My dreams have just begun and i believe you could make it through what ever in life if you keep your mind set to it!. my dream is to become a famous artist and architect and i would not give up until i become what i want to be. the world is full of opportunities and its is such a beautiful place god created.   THE ART IS ALLL AROUND US ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS LOOK.
